All of these these traits/behaviors are really really common in my family. My sister is also a notoriously particular eater, and gets “hangry” after long periods without eating. My mom, too, is not someone who cooks very often, and subsists on small snacks that don’t require lengthy prep. I have heard that eating disorders and Autism are frequently co-morbid, which makes a ton of sense to me — take a lack of attention to hunger cues, combine it with sensory needs that make clothing feel “too tight” or that make certain foods seem unpalatable, and you’ve got a surefire recipe for disordered eating patterns.
