Did you even read my piece?
Did you even read my piece? How are any of the examples of TW usage I provided at all consistent with this criticism? Is the student who faints from the sight of needles “getting angry or frustrated with something [they] don’t like”? Is me silently, inobtrusively bracing myself when someone makes a joke that reminds me of being raped me silencing an ideological opponent? You’re making a bad-faith argument here. If you have a problem with a specific type of TW usage, or with TW’s being required on campuses — which literally does not happen anywhere — write an essay about it. Or bring some sources to bear on it. Every single concern trolling anti-TW comment I have encountered so far has been rooted in a totally unsubstantiated, hand-wringing slippery slope iteration of TW usage that literally doesn’t exist.
