Hi, I’m the author of this piece, and I’m autistic. Don’t villify us. There’s no excuse for violent behavior. Neurotypical people commit heinous acts of violence every day, including targeted abuse of disabled people. Villifying the disabled as uniquely dangerous contributes to that.
