I am not interested in blaming women for internalizing sexist norms. I don’t think that’s fair or productive. But I am interested in discussing the ways in which people other than men internalize sexist standards and push those standards onto other people. It is damaging, even if we can (and should) be empathic and compassionate toward the people who do it.
