I can’t speak to what it’s like to be a person of color navigating the world of sexual assault, but I do know that I have heard many people of color describe sexual violence as racialized. Black men are routinely described in hyper-sexual language by white women; I’ve been around white women often enough to notice that much. Many Asian women have written very compellingly about how entitled white men feel to them. These things interact in all kinds of ways — if something gives you societal power, it tends to give you a sense of entitlement to others’ bodies. Lord knows cis people feel entitled to mine.
