I’m so furious you were treated that way. We have so many arbitrary standards of “professionalism” — arriving at a certain time, wearing certain uncomfortable clothes, expending X amount of effort on superficial grooming that goes beyond necessary hygiene, projecting fake happiness at all times — and those standards just make life miserable for people with disabilities. They’re impediments to productivity, not signs of them. I’m so sorry you were put through all that.
