I’m unclear on what you think excusing or tolerating “laziness” even entails in my framework.
I’m unclear on what you think excusing or tolerating “laziness” even entails in my framework. Most of the people being unfairly labeled as “lazy” are suffering. They are meeting consequences for not performing on a certain level. And most of them already feel awful and filled with shame for being “lazy”. These are not people who are seeking an excuse, or who are looking for a reason to not change. By and large, these are people who want help. Shame is not a good motivator. Judgement is not insightful. Nobody is saying we should be content with the status quo — quite the opposite.
