It’s all very new to me too!

It’s all very new to me too! I didn’t have these words growing up. I first encountered them a few years ago, well into adulthood and after years of not understanding myself. They immediately were compelling to me, so I spent time learning more about them and reading the writing of people who identified with them. I encounter new terms for marginalized social groups all the time, still, and I do my best to research them so I can continue to be a supportive, contemporary presence. I think we should all do that as much as we are able. We’re all learning new things all the time.
