Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m so sorry that fucker did that to you. The fear of violence is definitely what keeps a lot of people from speaking up and yelling “No!”; for others it’s having never been taught or encouraged to stand up for oneself that does it; for others, it’s not a conscious decision at all, they just froze up. Regardless, anyone who is forced to endure sex they do not want is equally valid of empathy and love and support. Anyone who thinks otherwise has frozen a piece of their heart at the very least. I hope your comment, and comments like yours, help those hearts thaw.
