Thank you for this. I loved the intentional, meaningful centering of women of color in the books themselves, and the trailer was deeply disappointing for all the reasons you have outlined. I think a lot of white people read books and picture all the characters as white even when they are explicitly told otherwise in the text. The same thing happened with The Hunger Games.
