Thanks for your comment! Yes, by “avoiding pronouns”, I do mean using the person’s name, and things like person/individual/friend.

When people have two or more pronouns they use, I try to gauge if they prefer one to the other (like you mention, a lot of people who use neopronouns also use they as a compromise so I’ll try and use the neopronoun instead). Or i’ll try to use the pronoun I would guess the person hears less often, or mix it up and use both sets intermittently, which can be kinda fun.
