This scenario makes no sense. If there was ever a scenario where a TW would give a student an advantage, I would just it to all my students. Thats how TWs work. They’re given to everyone. Did you not read the essay?

But realistically the particular example you’ve given makes 0 sense. I give my students their grades as soon as I have calculated them — if the student with the TW request wanted a one-month lag on receiving grades, then they’d be getting them later than the rest of the class, not earlier. And the more likely scenario is that I would trigger warn the whole class whenever I passed out grades. No problem.
