Wow thank you so much for all this rich context. I had no idea J Michael Bailey & etc were the source of Dan Savage’s long-held bias against bisexual people (though like many of his biases, he eventually backtracked on it years later). As someone both bi and nonbinary, your comment really helps place my existence and struggles in a deep history of complicated intersections, and is very validating.
