Your comments keep equating “refusing to be with someone of a certain type” (which is what I wrote, in the passage you highlighted) with having a preference. There is a huge gulf between having overall tendencies and preferences and refusing to date someone of a certain body type. We all have preferences, that doesn’t make us immoral. But putting a categorical ban on dating a body type is fucked up and prejudiced.
In addition, I think we have a responsibility to reflect on where our preferences come from. Often really common preferences — such as men refusing to date women with short hair — reflect a societal prejudice. Those are the kinds of preferences we should work hardest to inspect and challenge.
