Every time I think I've drawn a bead on sex exceptionalism, it surprises me in a new and sneaky way. I wonder why it's such an easy worldview (for me) to adopt. Is it the idea of having a conceptual scapegoat which theoretically doesn't implicate anyone (though not in practice)?
